ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and interpret mechanical drawings and all plant machinery, equipment, facilities and other installations. Be familiar with pneumatic and hydraulics to read simple prints and sketches. The ability to complete a certification in high voltage electricity a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude Have a strong sense of safety culture and safety compliance
Make repairs and adjustment or replacement of worn or defective parts on a wide variety of machinery and equipment, to include hydraulic forging equipment. Ability to dismantle and assemble machinery and equipment requiring close fitting and aligning with average supervision and is proficient in the use of all equipment and tools necessary to perform this work.
Ability to do common methods of rigging or handling of heavy machinery of parts in a safe manner with average supervision.
Install, modify and maintain a variety of piping for air, gas, water, hydraulic systems etc. With average supervision.
Layout and do simple carpentry using power and hand tools normally associated with the trade with minimum supervision.
Use welding equipment for minor and major repairs. Operate equipment in the Maintenance Shop such as threaders, drills, saws or similar types of equipment with minimum supervision. Make simple repairs to parts and be able to use measuring tools to secure tolerances of plus or minus .005 inch.
Make simple low voltage electrical repairs when it is associated with assigned mechanical work which requires low voltage electrical certification.
Ability to operate a variety of equipment. May also be required to move production or other materials when necessary.
Lubricates and cleans parts as needed.
Starts devices to test their performance.
Strictly enforces equipment lockout procedures for all machines and equipment when repairs are being performed. Posts lockout tags to notify affected employees of lockout status.
Ability to review PM schedules for equipment by department while working closely with Facilities Manager for reporting compliance.
Must contribute to a positive work environment.
All other duties as assigned, such as, perform any task required to support customer requirement, Quality Policy, company goals, and 5 S standard

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must have 3 to 5 years hands-on experience such as welding, grinding, building construction, electrical, hydraulics and troubleshooting machinery.
Ability to write reports and effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and other personnel.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Spanish speaking is highly desirable
Hours- 2nd shift 2pm to 10: 30pm
Pay Rate- $19.72-$25.22 per hour DOE
