Job Description

We are seeking a dispatcher with logistics experience for a leader in energy solutions located in Buena Park, CA. The ideal candidate should be able to multi-task, handle heavy call volumes calmly and professionally, be a self-starter with a team-first mentality, and exhibit exceptional communication both written and verbal. The ideal candidate will be someone with experience working in the Logistics/Trucking Industry.

Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Respond to customers requests via email or phone
  • Dispatch appropriate Technician to each call
  • Communicate estimated time of arrival (ETA) to customers
  • Verify not to exceed (NTE=customer s price limit)
  • Ensure work order is updated
  • Check for parts used in description and listen for materials used
  • Verify time (travel and labor)
  • Confirm valid part number & model/serial numbers
  • Check if permits are needed
  • Check if call number is under warranty
  • Ensure the Warranty form is complete and attached prior to the Technician leaving the site
  • Send copies to appropriate Weights and Measures County within 24 hours
  • Ensure all forms have accurate information for hanging hardware and calibration
  • Ensure Technician corrects any errors prior to sending in results
  • Ensure pictures are attached if have a new part
  • Follow-up with customers to ensure our service was complete and satisfactory.
  • Run various reports ensuring everyone is abreast of job statuses thus enabling prompt closure of jobs for billing
  • Ensure appropriate personnel and clients are all made aware, (via email communication) of jobs that will require 3+ days to acquire parts
  • Follow-up with appropriate personnel with all jobs that require multiple tech trips to a job site
  • Dictate clear notes of duties when needed & prioritize workloads independently accordingly

Requirements/Skills:
  • Able to work independently and with a team to reach a mutual goal
  • Communicate clearly with clients and technicians verbally and written
  • Able to calm distressed clients to resolve matters professionally and efficiently
  • Use and interpret spreadsheets
  • Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook
  • General knowledge of the geographical area of all Southern California counties and cities
  • Knowledge of general office equipment including computer, phone, scanner, fax, printer, etc.
  • Ability to make quick & efficient routing decisions that benefit the company and clients
  • Ability to adapt to an increasing workflow calmly & professionally
  • Ability to handle heavy incoming & outgoing calls calmly & professionally to clients & technicians
  • Calmly handle heavy incoming & outgoing calls from a LAN line & company provided cell phone
